Excel 2 PowerPoint
|
Copying data and charts from Excel® to PowerPoint® is a very common task performed by project managers, finance and controlling and consultants. You build tables and the charts in Excel®, and present them to your audience in PowerPoint®.
Usually, this basic operation is accomplished either 1. by copying separately each data/chart from Microsoft Excel® to the clipboard and then pasting it to a PowerPoint® slide or 2. by linking it via Micorsoft's technology to embed objects. In case 1 an issue appears when the data in the table is updated, as the paste activity has to be performed again after each change. In case 2 it can be an extremely cumbersome task to link the data. Additionally, it requires to deliver the entire spreadsheet data with the presentation, something that often shall be avoided – and why in many cases method 1 ist used instead. XLS2PPT is a third, much more efficient way to bring your Excel tables into PowerPoint as: All sheets of an entire workbook can be copied with one click and are distributed automatically inseveral ways on multiple pages of the presentation An algorithm determines the best way to scale the XLS tables, allowing you to choose betweendifferent options The table can be inserted as picture, HTML, XLS data and so forth
It avoids that non displayed data is linked "secretly" and mostly unintended into the PowerPoint
